Zeus and AlertBoot to Host Workshop at Structure San Francisco

June 16, 2011 - PRLog -- Zeus Technology, the pioneers of Application Delivery Controller software, will host, alongside its customer AlertBoot, a workshop at Structure San Francisco on June 22, advising attendees on how to manage spikes in holiday traffic with auto-scaling, drawing upon AlertBoot’s real-life experience. Zeus will be exhibiting at the event – June 22 and June 23 – offering demos of its award-winning Zeus Traffic Manager. The workshop, “How AlertBoot Uses Autoscaling to Meet Peak Holiday Demands,” features Kosten Metreweli, Chief Strategy Officer for Zeus Technology and Tim Maliyil, CEO of AlertBoot, a provider of cloud-based full disk encryption solutions. This workshop tackles the unique set of IT challenges the holiday season brings, as well as how to mitigate these issues with some advanced planning. Ideally, organizations should begin preparing for holiday traffic turbulence several months prior to the season. At the workshop, Metreweli and Maliyil will draw upon real-life case studies, teaching attendees how to do this with auto-scaling – easily, securely and effectively.

“Last year, online retailers brought in a record-breaking $32.6 billion in holiday season spending. This was a 12 percent year-over-year increase – and this figure is expected to soar even higher for the 2011 holiday season,” said Metreweli. “Our workshop is intended to help attendees prepare their infrastructure for this season’s holiday online blitz with auto-scaling. This is such an important topic because an inopportune web outage in November or December could translate to a substantial loss in revenue.”  

The workshop will be held on June 22 at 9:50 a.m. in Room 2. Structure is GigaOM’s flagship conference on Cloud Computing and Internet Infrastructure, bringing together the most influential thinkers for two days. This year’s event will be held on June 22 and June 23 at the Mission Bay Conference Center at UCSF.
