Creating Big Dreams Through Small Steps

June 16, 2011 - PRLog -- What can be learned from writing and volunteering? These activities allow you to create big dreams by taking small steps. A majority of people are challenged to follow their own passion, believe in themselves, and persevere until those dreams are realized. Dallas Woodburn has a story to share, about overcoming rejection, facing challenges and creating the life of her dreams. She appears June 30 on Full Power Living to entertain, challenge and inspire.

Recipient of the Congressional Award Gold Medal, the Jackie Kennedy Onassis/Jefferson Award, and most recently the "Best of You" award from Glamour Magazine, Dallas Woodburn B(http://www.writeonbooks.org) started life with a scant chance of survival, and has now become founder of Write On! Books publishing company, author (including articles and essays in Family Circle, Writer's Digest, The Los Angeles Times, and nine Chicken Soup for the Soul books), and creator of "Write On! For Literacy" to encourage kids and teens to discover confidence, joy, a means of self-expression and connection with others through reading and writing. Dallas is currently I pursuing a Master's degree in Fiction Writing at Purdue University, where she teaches undergraduate creative writing and composition courses and works as editor of Sycamore Review literary magazine.
