Hard Work and Determination Pays off for Oserian Schools

June 20, 2011 - PRLog -- On the 15th of June, 2011there were celebrations to recognize the best performers for the 2010 National exams within Naivasha-Gilgil during the Education Day. Three of the Oserian Schools attended the ceremony which took place in Naivasha town.

These were Oserian High school, Oserian Primary School and Hilltop Academy. Each of these schools was awarded prizes for their outstanding performances in their subjects and co-curricular activities. These awards were as follows;

Oserian High School
Private Schools Category:

•   Number 1 in Biology and the overall most improved subject in the district
•   Number 1 in Physics and the overall most improved subject in the district
•   Number 1 in History
•   Awarded the overall most improved school in Mathematics
•   Number 1 in Geography
•   Number 1 in Business Studies
•   Number 1 overall most improved school in the district (Oserian got a huge trophy for this)

Oserian Primary School
•   Position 3 overall out of 151 primary Schools
•   Position 1 on candidate above 51 categories

Hilltop Academy

•   Position 2 overall Co-curricular Activities our school was ranked second overall in Music.

In last year's Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, only 15 students in the districts attained grade A and Oserian High School was proud to produce a female student who posted the highest mean score grade of A-.

Oserian High School is currently funded by Oserian Development Company, a flower based farm in Naivasha, through the Fairtrade Initiative. Oserian has over the years built very close relations with itsneighbours and indeed the whole of the Naivasha community.
