By: German American Chamber of Commerce After careful consideration, we are pleased to announce that Dr. Christian Kissinger, General Manager of SAERTEX USA, LLC, will become the new North Carolina Chapter President and Board Member of the German American Chamber of Commerce (GACC South). Dr. Kissinger has been with SAERTEX USA, LLC since 2001, and has been instrumental in the company’s development and growth, including expansion of their facilities and commitment to further investments in the state of North Carolina. In 2010, the company pledged to create 180 new jobs over the next three years in Huntersville, outside of Charlotte, North Carolina. The GACC South- North Carolina Chapter supports the German American business community in the state, and is operated primarily out of Charlotte. In order to further dedicate the work of this chapter to small and medium sized, international companies, which is the backbone of the business community in the southeastern United States, The North Carolina Chapter leadership committee specifically focused on identifying a Chapter President candidate from a midsized company in the manufacturing sector. Because of Dr. Kissinger’s excellent rapport with the state’s governmental and private sector organizations, the GACC South is excited to have Dr. Kissinger lead the successful and growing Chapter. Over the coming weeks, Mr. Kristian Wolf, President and CEO of the GACC South, Dr. Kissinger and the North Carolina Chapter’s leadership committee will meet to discuss programming and develop further initiatives to meet the needs and expectations of the Chapter members. # # # The German American Chamber of Commerce of the Southern United States was founded in 1978 to promote and support bilateral trade between Germany and the U.S. The GACC South is located in Atlanta, Georgia and serves the 11 Southeastern states of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.
