Miss USA mentioned in a post pageant conference the reason for the move from New Jersey to Los Angeles was attributed to her losing an apartment over a year ago.  A former Miss Teen USA runner-up in 2007 representing New Jersey, Ms.Campanella said she began competing in pageants partly because of her mother’s influence. "I was going through a tough time in high school and she thought it'd be a great way for me to meet other girls throughout the state." The decision to become involved in beauty pageants has become a rewarding one, as her ambitions towards candidacy for Miss Universe are that much closer.
