Follow on Google News | Cheeky bid lands woman job with Cooper Solution’s auction siteA woman has landed a top job helping to launch a company’s new online auction product after making a cheeky bid of her own.
Cooper Solutions designs web-based software which allows automotive dealers to improve the performance and efficiency of their businesses. On July 4 it will launch FullAuction a product which will create a new market for dealers to trade cars more quickly, easily and profitably. Woodhouse contacted the company a month after losing her job with a direct competitor of Cooper Solutions. “I was looking for employment when I discovered Cooper Solutions was about to launch its FullAuction product,” she said. “This was a sector I was experienced in, as I had helped my previous employer grow their business, so I made contact to see if there was any possibility of joining the team. “It moved very quickly! I made contact on the Thursday, had a first interview that evening and was told they were offering me a job the next day. “Cooper Solutions has a great reputation in the industry so I am excited to be joining at a time when we are taking the next step in the company’s development. “I will use my knowledge of online auctions and my contacts in the trade to ensure we achieve success as quickly and efficiently as possible.” Barry Cooper, managing director at Cooper Solutions which was founded 10 years ago and employs 18 staff, said he was delighted to add experience to the company at an important time in its history. He said: “We were not actively seeking to recruit anyone but we could not pass up an opportunity to add someone of Cherie’s expertise to our team, which is why we acted so quickly to get her on board. “She has a proven track record and an almost unique insight into the market and business model we are entering. “This is an important time for us as we are launching a product which could change the face of the trade motor industry. “Most dealers currently dispose of trade-ins or older vehicles through a few industry contacts or expensive auction houses. “FullAuction will attract hundreds of buyers, ensure strong selling prices and massively reduce the costs of buyers and sellers alike.” ENDS Media enquiries: Simon Gilbert Advent Communications 2 Edison Building Electric Wharf Sandy Lane Coventry CV1 4JA Tel: 024 7663 3636 http://www.advent- # # # Advent Communications is a well-established public relations consultancy based in Coventry.
