1st Space Shuttle Products company faces end of program

June 29, 2011 - PRLog -- Shuttle Products Int'l (ShuttleProducts.com) started in 1980 as the 1st company in the nation to specialize in Space & Shuttle related merchandise. The founder- Chip Rohlke started the company while working at KSC on Columbia for Rockwell Int'l. In Feb '81 he quit Rockwell to sell STS-1 designs and made more money in 3 days during the launch than working at Rockwell all year.
Soon after the company was chosen to design shirts for Nasa, the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum, The Discovery Channel Stores and many of the top airshows in the world like Paris, Oshkosh, Reno, Singapore, Berlin and numerous others. The company received awards for design & creativity.
Now 30 years later the company is facing the end of the US Space Shuttle Program. To commemorate this even the company design 2 separate STS-135 designs. These designs commemorating this 'Journey into History' are setting sales records for the company and have opened doors into several new markets- Bealls, Cracker Barrel, to name a couple. After this flight the founder is looking to change careers and go into full time ministry as a Chaplain. He has been a volunteer for 26 years in prison Ministry working with Bill Glass ministry and Jack "Murph the Surf" Murphy.
