Financial disclosure for churches $ 501c3's

Christ is Creator Ministries is challenging all churches & 501cs to open their books.

June 28, 2010 - PRLog -- Christ is Creator Ministries President Chip Rohlke is requesting that all churches & 501c3's to open their books and become 100% financially transparent. Recently Mr. Rohlke was called before the elders of a non-denominational mega church in Melbourne Florida because of asking to see the churches financial records. This is wrong and Billy Graham set up the ECFA decades ago to address the need for financial transparency and good stewardship of those who lead these organizations and churches.
My challenge is that all churches and 501c3's should be 100% financially transparent to those who contribute to them. If Wall Street and the US government open their books shouldn't churches who operate in the name of God as well as non-profits?
To those who refuse to open their finances I'd challenge whether it is wise to contribute to such secretive organizations. If they aren't willing to reveal where the money's going I don't think they deserve you're financial support and I'd challenge the leadership on such issues.
