The artist has provided wearable pieces of artwork for people like Alexander McQueen as well as joining with Gieves & Hawkes, the royal and military tailor. In his early days, he earned a degree in textiles and fashion.

He used to work on creating body armour and the uniform for the British, Egyptian, Indian, Pakistani and Algerian armies, as well as the Metropolian Police, Italian Carabinieri and Mexico City Police. He has also provided work for the artists like Banksy for his exhibition ‘Banksy versus Bristol Museum’.

Famous works from the two include the Peace Pods, which hung from trees and rafters in the Tate Modern, Tate Britain, British Museum and in London’s Regent’s Park. These pieces of art were designed so that the individuals inside cooperate peacefully to avoid destabilisation of the pods. These works leads us not to question the necessity of war and explore the different ways of creating peace.

Banksy’s work typically, includes satirical social and political commentary, and ranges from murals to sculptures. He takes inspiration from the Bristol Underground Scene; the artist claims that it is a distinctive style, which combines stencil and graffiti works developed out of a need to quickly create great pieces.

Recently Banksy has created an experimental film, ‘Exit through the Gift Shop’ and has received an Oscar nomination for his motion picture.
