What Causes The C355 Error

This particular error would normally be caused when either one the following conditions are true:

Specific registry keys have been damaged or corrupt
Windows settings have changed
The updates are damaged or are not configured properly

How To Fix The C355 Error

Step 1 – Download The Updates In Safe Mode
Because the the updates are not downloading properly it is recommended that you switch your computer into safe mode before you install the updates as this will eliminate any chance of programs or other things getting in the way of the update. To turn your computer into Safe Mode follow the instructions below:

Restart your computer
When your computer is beginning to load hit the F8 key repeatedly
You will then be presented with some options, you should use the arrow keys and select ‘Safe Mode’
From there are on you will be able to download the updates

Step 2 - Clean Out The Registry

One of the big causes of C355 errors is through the “registry” database of your computer. This is a large database which stores vital information & settings for your PC, and is used continually to help Windows to read the files, settings & options that it needs to run.
