Copper prices rose as demand to outstrips production

Albanian Minerals President and CEO said "Copper demand will outstrips production output forecasts of 3 percent this year as global demand for copper are expected to increase 10 percent in 2011".

Copper prices traded higher by 0.42  on Monday supported by a firming trend in the base metals at the London Metal  Exchange (LME).
Copper prices rose today, helped by  improving confidence on global economy after last week showed that US manufacturing grew at a surprisingly strong pace in June.

Copper prices rose today on increasing demand from China.
Copper prices are helped also as Japan's industrial output jumped 5.7 percent in May.

Global demand for copper to picking up in the second quarter of this year.
The copper stocks in LME-monitored warehouse fell 1,500 tonnes today .

Albanian Minerals President and CEO  Sahit Muja said "The copper supply deficit is the main factor on the increase on copper prices"".
The price of the copper rose 30 percent in 2010.

The booming economy"s in China, India, Brazil and other the emerging economies to increase demand for copper.  
The global demand for copper increased 8 percent in 2010, outpacing supply.
