New Summer Activities at Lory’s Place

July 8, 2011 - PRLog -- Lory’s Place, a grief healing and education center of Hospice at Home, is offering new summer activities.

Glass Promise Tiles is a free workshop on Tuesday, July 19, from 3 - 6PM at Lory’s Place. Youth, age 12 and older, will have the opportunity to work with Water Street Glass Works for an afternoon full of learning and fun with glass tiles. Participants will construct their own glass promise tile. Space is limited so please call Lory’s Place at 269-983-2707 to register.

Teen Fun: Laser Tag is a fun afternoon for teens on Thursday, July 21 at 3pm. The group will meet at Slackers Family Fun Center at the Orchards Mall in Benton Harbor for an exciting game of laser tag. Immediately following the laser tag, the group will enjoy some social time while having a pizza party. Space is limited and sign-up will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Drama Workshop Kids will take place on Thursday, July 28 from 10:00 am to noon at the Box Factory for the Arts in St. Joseph. Kids of all ages will learn acting warm-ups, skits, and short sketches. Hospice at Home also offers other grief healing and education programs at Lory’s Place. There are regularly scheduled age-appropriate groups during the school year that allow children and adults to interact with peers who have suffered similar loss. Groups for children and adults who are anticipating a loss or who have experienced a loss through pregnancy are also available, as well as educational and workplace grief programs. All community bereavement services are provided free of charge thanks to local community contributions.
