Visitors and residents can explore downtown, visit art galleries, artists on the street, exhibitions, shopping, dining and live music along your route, into the evening beginning at 5:30pm - 8:30 pm
On State Street in front of the Le Passage French Bistro location, Hector Toro and his band will be playing, while the Silent Auction of Give Art A Chance, located within the 10 Hr Art Gallery, will be staging the kickoff preview of art for the upcoming event. Bidding will continue for 3 weeks and ends on the evening of August 25, 2011 where winners of the beautiful art pieces will claim their art. This auction can currently be viewed online at the event website: www.experiencecarlsbad.blogspot.com. So join in and enjoy a relaxing preview as more art is donated, then schedule to come take a look. Information in available online. Solo songbird, Janice Thompson will be staging at the Paradise Cottage patio, stop and listen and get lost in her voice. Across the street at HomeLife Village Realtors & Art Gallery, this month’s event presenter, will have the Hawaiian Trio of Cal, Debbie, Cat & KW strumming and hosting a Hawaiian dancer, placing you in the mood for a Hawaiian vacation and a chance to get great photos, so pull up a canoe and float awhile. The New Village Arts, Foundry Studios will be hosting a featured art exhibition, an interactive program and wonderful music by Summer Brooke. In the Village Plaza, musicians Keli Mau and his steel drum band, will get you in the mood for swaying with the beat, while playing at the Village Faire Fountain, 6:30 - 8:30pm and the place will be filled with the Circle of Art, while the galleries; COAL, Oceanside Art, Phantom, Lynn Forbes School of Sculpure and the Via Pointe Resort Services & Art, extend open houses of their latest exhibitions starting at 5:30pm - 8:30pm.
