North Bridge Brasserie…and all that Jazz

July 25, 2011 - PRLog -- Fancy a bit of Dean Martin or Billie Holiday with your Sunday Roast?  North Bridge Brasserie launches ‘Speakeasy Sundays’ in conjunction with live jazz band, Vieux Carré. For £29 per person diners can enjoy a three course lunch; with a traditional Sunday roast, a selection of desserts from the trolley and a repertoire featuring all the Jazz greats including Ella Fitzgerald and Bing Crosby to name but a few.

Jazz band Vieux Carré, is named after the old French Quarter in New Orleans.  In true New Orleans style, the band are bringing to Edinburgh a mix of music from early 1930’s and will be inviting guest players to add their own musical styliings to the original four - playing anything from the banjo, to the ukelele.  
The band are extremely excited to be part of Speakeasy Sundays and commented:
“We share a genuine love of the New Orleans ‘Trad’ Hot Jazz style and hope to keep it alive in today’s modern world. You are guarenteed a fun show full of lively tempos and swinging tunes”

Set within the former reception hall of The Scotsman newspaper, the North Bridge Brasserie is under the helm of Executive Head Chef Paul Hart who uses locally sourced produce. The three course menu will change weekly to reflect the seasonality of the produce.
