Deja Jones - Triple Threat!

July 25, 2011 - PRLog -- In a brood of 12, Deja was enrolled into Ballet and Tap at the age of 3. She later expanded to Jazz and Salsa. Singing along with her mother to En-Vogue, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston and Patti La Belle tracks, she began honing her vocal skills and flames for her passions grew. By the age of 8, Theatre was added to her repertoire. Deja won a role for an ensemble cast and her acting abilities flourished.

While attending Bancroft Cinema Middle School and Hamilton Senior High Academy of Music under the discipline of Dance, Vocal and Musical Theatre, Deja cultivated her passions further. In her senior year, Deja performed in a production by Bruce Willis and Cedric the Entertainer with a Red Carpet opening for "Ephraim’s Song", where she played double characters, as well as Dance Captain.

Deja later became one of the thousands of hopefuls for the lead Broadway role of Sandy in NBC’s Reality show, "Grease: You’re The One I Want", which aired in 2007. Deja made it to the top 15.

She now works as a choreographer and dance instructor for various studios and schools throughout Los Angeles. She is also in pre-production for dance film where she will showcase her acting, dancing, singing and choreography skills on the big screen.

It is clear the stage once again beckoned Deja and there's no looking back.
