Atlanta Charity LHTYF Celebrates 14th Year Empowering Youth

ATLANTA - Dec. 4, 2024 - PRLog -- Live Healthy & Thrive Youth Foundation (LHTYF) announced the 14th Annual Pinnacle Awards & Scholarship Gala on Saturday, December 7th at the Conference Center on the campus of Georgia Piedmont Technical College in Clarkston, GA. This celebratory event marks the organization's 14th year anniversary of empowering Atlanta area youth towards better health. The mission of the organization focuses on educating and empowering children towards healthy lifestyle habits, so they are more likely to avoid obesity, diabetes, and hypertension. The organization welcomed Georgia Natural Gas as sponsor of this momentous occasion.

At the gala, Live Healthy & Thrive Youth Foundation honors professionals who demonstrate outstanding career achievement and philanthropy as well as award Atlanta area high school students with $1,000 and $2,000 book scholarships for college. The 2024 Pinnacle Award honorees are: Dr. Obi Ugwonali, Peachtree Orthopedics, Commissioner Stephen Bradshaw, Dekalb County Government, Paige Buzbee, Georgia Foundation for Public Education, Chef Tim Morgan, Tim Morgan Catering & Events, and Derrick Boazman, 1380 WAOK-AM & Let Us Make Man.

"We are thrilled to honor remarkable leaders and philanthropists who have achieved career success while finding time to give back to the community. Additionally, we're proud to invest in deserving high school seniors with college scholarships," said Dr. Lori A. Manns, founder and president of LHTYF, Inc.

The gala will feature a gourmet dinner buffet by Chef Kitura, of All About the Minis and live entertainment by Richard Shaw Jr and Dr. Alonia Parks. The evening will be hosted by mistress of ceremonies, Alex Whittler of Fox 5 Atlanta News and announcer, Carol Blackmon of the Georgia Lottery.
