Nouns - Recognizing and Differentiating Different Types of Nouns

July 27, 2011 - PRLog -- Minimod iPod/iPad Nouns helps students practice and master the important language skills of recognizing nouns and differentiating among various types of nouns.

Ways to Play  

Practice Level The student will read a sentence. Given three word choices, the student will choose the correct noun. An incorrect response allows the student to read the passage again and select another answer.

Single Player The student plays a bingo-like game against the computer. The student reads a sentence. Given three word choices, the student will choose the correct noun to finish the sentence.  An alternate type of question provides a sentence, and the student identifies the noun. Choosing the correct noun allows the student to place a marker on the game board. Five markers in a row win the game.

Multi Player The student plays a bingo-like game against another student. The first student to fill his/her game card with five markers in a row wins the game.

Levels of Difficulty  

Red Level Person, Place, Thing or Idea
Blue Level Common or Proper Nouns
Green Level Concrete or Abstract Nouns
Purple Level Collective or Compound Nouns
