Follow on Google News | Annabel Aidan's ASSUMPTION OF RIGHT now in print!Author settling on Cape Cod; celebrates print release of latest novel
By: Annabel Aidan That’s the premise of Annabel Aidan’s romantic suspense novel, ASSUMPTION OF RIGHT. Released in June in digital format by Champagne Books, the print edition is also now available. Aidan is a full-time writer who publishes under a half a dozen names in both fiction and non-fiction. After a long career backstage on Broadway, in theatre, and television, she moved from New York to Cape Cod in the fall of 2010. “I’ve wanted to live here for years,” says Aidan. “It was time for a big change, so why not live where I want? I can work anywhere, and it’s great to have a wonderful workspace, a garden, and a supportive artistic community.” Better known in her Devon Ellington persona for her numerous articles, the urban fantasy Jain Lazarus Adventures (currently switching publishers), teaching online and in-person workshops, and her daily blog on the writing life, Ink in My Coffee (http://devonellington.wordpress.com), Aidan is excited to work with Champagne Books writing romantic suspense. “They are a wonderful house,” she enthuses. “I had a wonderful editor, a terrific cover artist, and they support their authors. I’m lucky to be one of their authors. And I’m thrilled the book sold well enough to come out in print. Local organizations keep asking me when it’s coming out in print so we can book events -- now we can!” Aidan is hard at work on her next paranormal romantic suspense novel, called THE SPIRIT REPOSITORY, dealing with ghosts dating back to the days when New York was New Amsterdam. Will she write about Cape Cod? “The end of ASSUMPTION OF RIGHT takes place in Sandwich,” she says. “And I’ve set some other pieces here. I’m playing with various ideas I want to set in and around the Cape. It’s such a fascinating environment. But there’s time in the production process between the books under submission and new, more locally-oriented tales I’m spinning. I’ve got a few more tomes set in New York and Scotland to come out before my work focuses on the Cape. But it will. Living here inspires me.” ASSUMPTION OF RIGHT is available both digitally and in print from Champagne Books (www.champagnebooks.com) # # # Fearless Ink -- a site where excellent writing means smart business for outstanding results.
