Gospel Rapper “john Tha Baptist” Releases “ A Repentant Drug Dealer” ( A Changed Man)

Aug. 29, 2011 - PRLog -- Chicago-Gospel rapper John tha Baptist is celebrating the release of his new album entitled “A Repentant Drug Dealer” (A Changed Man). This release is truly a bright light in dark times and is a collection of Christian values infused with fiery lyrics that will lift your spirits and feed the appetite of hip-hop lovers as well.

Majestic production accompanied by inspiring lyrics makes this record another victory for the indie hip hop artist who has been on the rise releasing a string of independent singles. Unlike some Christian rappers John is not preaching to the choir, his rhyme style and subject matter is appealing to those in the pews as well as the streets.

John tha Baptist is a veteran rapper who was inspired to rap by 80’s hip-hop culture. Contemporary Christian and gospel artist like Lacrae, Chyrch , Tye Tribbit and Canton Jones  has also served as influences for John Tha Baptist. Since he began rapping at the age of twelve he has evolved into a style that he describes as his own. He says his main goal with his music is to “evangelize to the world and let them know Jesus IS”.
