Strudyna manufactures and sells individual stainless steel component parts used in architectural systems for glass facades / curtain walling.

Previously, Strudyna’s catalogues were only available in a format referring to individual component parts. Now, in order to make the ordering of customer’s parts easier and more streamlined, Strudyna has revamped the format of catalogues so that the individual stainless steel component parts can now be ordered in complete stainless steel Tie-Rod assemblies; with a Tie-Rod assembly consisting of a stainless steel Tie-Rod with a pair of stainless steel Fork Ends (one to each end of the Tie-Rod).

The first of the new format catalogues is Strudyna’s new Structural Tie-Rod Systems catalogue; this will be followed very soon by Strudyna’s new Structural Cable Systems catalogue for ordering of complete stainless steel Cable assemblies (a stainless steel Cable with a pair of stainless steel Fork Ends).

Strudyna’s new Structural Tie-Rod Systems catalogue will make the selection process for your project – of choosing from the differing types of stainless steel tie-rod and fork ends available from Strudyna, the correct sizing of the tie-rod and fork ends, the correct ordering length of tie-rod (pin-to-pin measurement), and the correct ordering codes - as simple as possible from either the Strudyna website or from Strudyna catalogue.  

For a successful Tensile Tie-Rod System for your project, consider:

1.   Choose the right tensile tie-rod system based upon main criteria which should include the loads, applications and corrosion performance.

2.   Loads are defined by size; however special tie-rod configuration can offer a higher performance ratio per diameter.

3.   Always choose the proper tie-rod system based on the calculated loads.

4.   Never overload the tie-rod system greater than its designed working load.

5.   Always use tensile tie-rod in a straight line or in-line pull only.

6.   Never use tensile tie-rod systems for lifting purposes.

SRS Tie-rod Systems:
The SRS Tie-rod System is an assembly of a high tensile strength tie-rod combined with a pair (a right-hand end and a left-hand end) of SRS End Termination Fittings. SRS offers the highest tensile strength tie-rod system in Strudyna’s range when used in combination with Strudyna’s 560 HTR rod or with Strudyna’s 448 DR (Duplex) rod.

P2H Tie-rod Systems:
The P2H Tie-rod System is an assembly of a high tensile strength tie-rod combined with a pair (a right-hand end and a left-hand end) of P2H End Termination Fittings. The P2H End Termination Fittings are used in conjunction with Strudyna’s 262AR rod. The P2H End Termination Fitting offers a unique internal adjusting mechanism which allows the rod to remain fixed during installation for a unique solution for certain hard to install conditions.

RDS Tie-rod Systems:
The RDS Tie-rod System is an assembly of a high tensile strength tie-rod combined with a pair (a right-hand end and a left-hand end) of RDS End Termination Fittings. The RDS End Termination Fittings are used in conjunction with Strudyna’s 316 stainless tie-rod.

Basic Tie-rod Systems (Basic B1, Basic B3 and AM Adjuster):
The Basic Tie-rod System is an assembly of a high tensile strength tie-rod combined with a pair (a right-hand end and a left-hand end) of Basic End Termination Fittings; the Basic end termination fittings include the following products from Strudyna’s ranges: Basic B1 fork and turnbuckle or Basic B3 fork and turnbuckle or AM adjuster fork and AM Turnbuckle. The Basic End Termination Fittings are used in conjunction with Strudyna’s 262AR rod.


Note that while Strudyna generally use the term 'Tensile Tie-Rod System' or 'Structural Tie-Rod System’ in relation to our products, others in the industry use similar or equivalent terms to describe the exact same thing, including for example: Structural Bar Systems, Structural Tie-Bar Systems, Structural Rod Systems, Structural Tie-Rod Systems, Tensile Bar Systems, Tensile Tie-Bar Systems, Tensile Rod Systems, Tensile Tie-Rod Systems, and Tension Structures Systems.
