Sept. 15, 2011 - PRLog -- Schlackman has taken over from predecessor, Anna Segatti, who has assumed a new role as senior vice president of Avon WEMEA (Western Europe, Middle East and Africa).

He brings a wealth of marketing, direct selling and leadership expertise to the role that will see him support and drive business growth. The UK & ROI market remains powered by Avon’s sales force of primarily female entrepreneurs who run their own Avon enterprises.  These women range from independent Representatives to Sales Leaders – who recruit and manage their own teams of Representatives – some of whom have teams of over 2,500 self-employed direct sellers.

Scott Schlackman comments: “The UK & ROI is an important region for Avon.  As one of the top markets out of the 100-plus we operate in, its performance is key for the organisation.

“For 125 years Avon has been the company for women; offering a flexible and scalable earnings opportunity, quality innovative products at affordable prices, and unprecedented support for the causes that matter most to women. I look forward to starting the next era for Avon UK & ROI and continuing to grow its dynamic profile.”

In his 24 years with Avon, Schlackman has held a number of general manager positions, including leadership of France, Canada, Greece and Continental Europe. Prior to taking on the role in the UK he held the position of vice president of Liz Earle, which Avon acquired in March 2010.

With 6.5 million Avon Representatives around the globe, Avon has made its mark in over 100 countries, now selling four lipsticks every second of every day.  In the company’s latest results, Avon reported second quarter 2011 total revenue of $2.9 billion, 9 per cent higher than that of second quarter 2010.
