By: Madeline Kane While other speakers covered topics such as leadership and attributes for success, Sheehan’s presentation looked at the key differences between being a great entrepreneur and being a great employee. “In the working world, both entrepreneurs and employees have their place, but being an entrepreneur gives you security and re-assurance because you are in control of your business and your future. It’s really about seeking out and making the most of opportunities that arise – finding a gap in the market, and finding a way to fill that need better than anybody else ever could. If companies aren’t opening job opportunities, create your own success.” Sean Sheehan has been building his own business in the outsourced sales and marketing industry from early 2009, and has since become an industry leader in Dublin and Limerick, with expansion planned at home and abroad. In addition to running his own business, Sheehan works regularly with start-up entrepreneurs through speaking at sessions such as the Dublin Leadership Conference. Mr. Sheehan explains that if a similar seminar is held in the future he hopes he is asked to speak again, saying “It really excites me to see the types of people who were at the leadership conference.
