The Lake Norman Orchestra: An Evening at Davesté Vineyards

Sept. 30, 2011 - PRLog -- Returning for a second time to Davesté Vineyards, the Lake Norman Orchestra will be performing an outdoor concert with a variety of selections from composers, including Andrew Lloyd Webber, Henry Mancini, Leroy Anderson and Duke Ellington.  The evening will include a selection of classical and show tune music.   Please join us as the Lake Norman Orchestra celebrates in the vineyard!  

For this family-friendly event, there is an admission fee of $15 cash ticket purchase per adult payable at the vineyard entrance gate. Your ticket includes one glass of wine with a Davesté Vineyard souvenir wine glass and a donation to the Lake Norman Orchestra’s fundraising efforts.   Ages 16-20 pay $10 cash at the gate which includes entertainment and donation only...no ticket issued. Free Admission for ages 15 and under - no ticket issued.

Bring a picnic basket and a lawn chair, as the event is outdoors. Gourmet Italian Sub Sandwiches with chips will be available for purchase $9.50 including tax (cash or credit)...prepared by Pellegrino's Trattoria. Please call by 10/6 for details and to place your order (704) 528-3882.   Daveste' will extend business hours until 8:00 p.m. for those who want to relax after the performance to enjoy wine and food.  Please no outside alcohol is allowed.  Wine will be available for purchase by the glass or bottle (before, during and after the performance)...cash or credit.

The Lake Norman Orchestra, a not-for-profit community organization, welcomes all volunteers who desire to improve their musicianship, share their talent with their peers and provide quality entertainment throughout the Piedmont region of North Carolina. The LKNO performs several concerts throughout the year at numerous venues in the Lake Norman area. The LKNO musical repertoire is as diverse as its membership, so you're sure to find something you enjoy. Rehearsals are held every Monday evening, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Peninsula Baptist Church in Mooresville.

Eduardo M. Cedeño has performed as a conductor, soloist and collaborative artist in the United States, Europe, and South America. As a founding member of the Simon Bolivar Orchestra, Director and Conductor of the Merida Symphony Orchestra and as a Founding Member of the Philharmonic Choral Group of Caracas, Venezuela, he has worked with the founder of El Sistema and the Orquesta Nacional Juvenil de Venezuela. Cedeño has collaborated with numerous performing organizations including the Philharmonic Orchestra of Indianapolis, the Indianapolis Opera, and Charlotte Civic Orchestra; UNCC Opera and Carolina Voices, as well as various orchestras in Caracas, Venezuela. In addition to conducting the Lake Norman Orchestra, Cedeño presently serves as Adjunct Music Faculty at Mitchell Community College in Statesville,  Music Director at Community School of Davidson High School in Davidson, and as Orchestra Director at Gaston School of the Arts in Gastonia.
