By: Rural Rhythm Records Brad Gulley was born and raised in the east Tennessee mountains. His father, Steve Gulley (who also produced CUMBERLAND RIVER’S album THE LIFE WE LIVE) and grandfather, Don paved the way for Brad as he grew up in the shadow of the old barn in Renfro Valley, KY watching them perform. His early indoctrination into bluegrass music instilled a passion that burns brighter than ever today. Brad brings that passion, along with great singing, songwriting, and instrumental talents to the latest chapter in his musical career as he joins CUMBERLAND RIVER. His soaring tenor and high lead vocals are sure to catch your attention and stir your emotions as well as help to define the signature sound for this cutting edge bluegrass band. “I couldn’t be happier or more excited to be a part of such a great group of people and musicians,” said Gulley. Last week, CUMBERLAND RIVER made quite an impression during the International Bluegrass Music Association’ Gulley joins band members: James Dean (banjo, lead & harmony vocals); Dustin Middleton (mandolin, lead & harmony vocals); Joey Jones (bass); Jamie Stewart (Dobro).
