Harold Tillman: fashion figurehead takes his seat to drive forward London’s West End

Today, at New West End Company’s Annual General Meeting, Dame Judith Mayhew Jonas - Chairman of New West End Company - announced Harold Tillman as the 14th member of the Business Improvement District’s Strategic Board.

Oct. 6, 2011 - PRLog -- Today, at the New West End Company’s Annual General Meeting, attended by over 100 retailers, property owners and hospitality businesses across Bond Street, Oxford Street and Regent Street, Dame Judith Mayhew Jonas - Chairman of New West End Company - announced Harold Tillman as the 14th member of the Business Improvement District’s Strategic Board.

The figurehead of British fashion and retail will be joining retailers Mark Fenwick, Chairman of Fenwick; Steve Rowe, UK Director of Retail at M&S and John King CEO of House of Fraser, in driving forward the ambitions of the West End to maintain its status as an economic powerhouse of London.

The 14 strong Strategic Board works to drive the long term investment of the West End and vision, which includes enhancing public realm, cementing the West End’s status as Europe’s luxury epicentre and global retail hub. The Board also plays an important role in influencing policy at local, London and national levels to benefit the retail and property industry.

Chairman of New West End Company Dame Judith Mayhew Jonas says, “With 2012 being a year of huge opportunity for the West End, Harold’s appointment onto our Board will play an integral role in further cementing the West End’s credentials as a world powerhouse for retail, leisure and investment.”
