By: Anna Banks, District 83 PRO Lynn competed against four other Division finalists. When asked how she felt about competing in the District 83 Speech Contest, Aubree said, “I did not know TM even had competitions, when I compete, I am competing with myself to reach to the best I can be. Winning is telling me that I am stretching and growing. My goal is to be the International winner...all in good time!” A panel of judges (from Toastmasters) Aubree Lynn, who lives in Nanuet NY, is an ordained Interfaith Minister, and the Spiritual Director for the Rockland Center for Spiritual Living (http://www.cslrockland.org), located in in Nyack, NY. Aubree has been a member of Toastmasters for 3 years. “Besides improving my speaking skills, Toastmasters has helped me to be a much better leader and my listening skills have improved 100%. I learn the most by listening to seasoned evaluators,” Lynn is a member three Toastmasters clubs: Rockland Sunrise...which meets at the Dominican College in Orangeburg, NY at 7:30 AM on the first and third Friday of the month; Sunset Toastmasters Club, which meets in Pearl River NY at 7 PM in the Pearl River Library, meeting on the second and forth Monday of the month and Nyack which meets in Nyack, NY at 7 PM meeting in the Nyack Library on the second and fourth Thursday of the month. Rev. Aubree Lynn is an active member who has served as twice as the president of the Sunrise Toastmasters. She currently serves as Vice President of Education for Sunrise.
