New Motorcycle-Maps iPhone app is now available.

Oct. 18, 2011 - PRLog -- Motorcycle-Maps.us is happy to announce a Motorcycle-Maps application has been released for the iPhone 4 through the Apple iTunes Store.

The app while in its early evolution stages has been developed to closely replicate the paper maps produced by Motorcycle-Maps.  While there are paper maps for the states of Alabama, Georgia and North Carolina the app will give access to the entire country.

The motorcycle riding public certainly has a selection of both paper maps and applications to chose from, each serving a certain niche of that community very well. The difference with Motorcycle-Maps that is addition to a growing network of highlighted ride routes the main focus is the biker friendly mom and pop businesses that support that riding group.

These businesses are categorized by a. Lodging, b. Retail (biker/bike accessories), c. Repair/dealer, d. Eatery, e. Miscellaneous (Biker Attorneys/others that may fit this category).

Motorcycle Maps has been successful with the paper maps with approximately 160,000 being distributed to riders between April 2010 and September 2011. It is expected that with rider input on routes and businesses that the app network will see similar growth possibly being even more popular.

Motorcycle-Maps has initiated a program called “Celebrate America” where businesses in those states where paper maps are not presently available can join the network of app for a reduced rate. These businesses will benefit from the exposure of being on the app as well as through other Motorcycle-Maps media such as Facebook.  Businesses interested should contact Dennis Munden at dmunden@motorcycle-maps.us.
