St Christopher's Place Launches Thank You Thursdays

Oct. 19, 2011 - PRLog -- For the first time ever, London’s West End boutique fashion and alfresco dining haven, St Christopher’s Place, is launching ‘Thank You Thursdays’ to treat shoppers for visiting the area in the run up to Christmas.

Located just off Oxford Street, on each Thursday throughout November participating shops will extend opening hours until 9pm, and alongside the restaurants in St Christopher’s Place will host mini fashion and foodie treats for late night shoppers. Additional Christmas festivities will also take place in the main piazza.

3 November – 1st Thank You Thursday
To mark the launch of Thank You Thursdays, St Christopher’s Place will officially switch on its new, contemporary Christmas lights display. Created by James Clancy Design, the suspended lights resemble giant light reflective silver spheres that will illuminate the area and provide an eye-catching focal point for culture-loving visitors and shoppers alike.

To capture the magic of Christmas, shoppers are invited to join as the lights will be switched on by the English National Ballet’s stunning Sugar Plum Fairy in the main piazza at 6pm. To celebrate festivities, stores including Ghost, Malini and Rituals will offer shoppers a complimentary glass of bubbly, with Carluccio’s and La Tasca hosting delicious wine and taster sessions.  Christmas Carols with a twist will follow, creating a festive buzz for the first Thank You Thursday late night shoppers.

10 November – 2nd Thank You Thursday
Come to St Christopher’s Place to enjoy beautiful ballerinas from the English National Ballet. Wearing festive Swarovski encrusted tutus, ballerinas will be seen striking poses and gracefully gliding around whilst entertaining shoppers and diners.

At 2pm and 6pm ballerinas will host a series of mini ‘Ballet lessons’ for St Christopher’s Place shoppers. The classes will teach the ultimate in ballet basics, prepping feet for the party season and kicking off the second Thank You Thursday’s festivities. Classes will be held in fancy footwear store Kurt Geiger and in the main piazza.

17 November- 3rd Thank You Thursday
To celebrate winter fashion in St Christopher’s Place, stores including Kurt Geiger, Lungta De Fancy and Marimekko will host an array of tempting offers and fun festive parties. From champagne upon arrival to fashion-themed Christmas cupcakes, party make-overs and a photo-booth, shoppers will have the chance to treat themselves whilst shopping for others.

24 November – Final Thank You Thursday
With almost one month to go until Christmas, the final Thank You Thursday will celebrate festive food and drink in St Christopher’s Place. Wrap up warm and enjoy the festive atmosphere as restaurants including; Pizza Express, Cocochan, Café Creperie, La Tasca and Carluccio’s trademark outdoor dining areas will be open and offering complimentary winter warmers and treats.
