Oct. 24, 2011 - PRLog -- RALEIGH, NC – Raleigh International Church (RIC) announced today that it will be ministering Thanksgiving Service to the Raleigh Correction Center For Women (RCCW) on Sunday, November 27, 2011, located at 1201 S. State St. Raleigh, NC, 27610.  The service will start at 4:00pm and end at 6:00pm.

Some highlights of the service event will include: praise and worship, a special Thanksgiving tribute and message, and most of all, a chance for salvation.  RIC will not only feed the women spiritually, but also physically with a full Thanksgiving meal, turkey, stuffing, gravy, collards, string beans,  cornbread, yams, rice, and more, plus dessert.  The church is expecting to minister to and feed over 115 women.

“This year, we have a corporate goal to help our local community through prison outreach.  We are deeply committed as a church to extend ourselves outside of the four walls of the church and minister to those that do not have an opportunity to regularly attend church on Sundays,” says Pastor Olden Thornton of RIC.  “There have been times when all of us have fallen, committed a sin, or not lived up to God’s standards, but God gives us grace and everyone can use a helping hand.”

In addition to the Thanksgiving Ministry event at Raleigh Correction Center for Women, RIC will also be providing almost 100 turkeys and Thanksgiving meals to local families in need.
