WaterFilters.NET Celebrates Recent Charity Efforts

Nov. 1, 2011 - PRLog -- With the holiday season of giving fast approaching, one prominent internet retailer is celebrating its recent charity efforts, including a campaign that raised over $1500 for a water charity, and a pledge for $6300 to charity: water.  Before WaterFilters.NET looks ahead to more donations, however, the entire company is pausing to look back to celebrate the great preliminary work that has already been accomplished.

From the company’s outset in 2001, CEO Jamin Arvig and his team have been dedicated to the conviction that the technology represented by water filtration was a healthier alternative, both for individual consumers and for the global community. Reducing contaminants in drinking water at home, for instance, has great potential health benefits for customer households. That same technology, however, can be used on a more massive scale to reduce pollutants in local water supplies in parts of the world where access to clean, safe drinking water is limited or even non-existent. In addition, the WaterFilters.NET team knew that filtered water was a more environmentally friendly choice than plastic bottled water, which--as WaterFilters.NET blog writer Karl Rist has noted--”is costly both to the pocketbook and to the planet.”

Serving the greater good has been a foundational component in the company’s core values since the outset.
