Galway Hooker Irish Pub to Host a "Restaurant Fundraising Night" Fall Series

Nov. 4, 2011 - PRLog -- CORNELIUS, NC – The Galway Hooker Irish Pub is partnering with Cornelius Elementary School in continuation with the pub’s “Restaurant Fundraising Night” fall series.    

As an active organization in the local community, the Galway Hooker has developed a “Restaurant Fundraising Night” series in order to build brand awareness while helping contribute to local establishments.

The fall series kicked off with J.V. Washam’s Elementary School night on September 28, 2011.  Followed by nights benefitting: Levine Children’s Hospital on Monday, October 3, Torrence Creek Elementary on Wednesday, October 5, Cornelius Elementary on Monday, November 7, and Bailey Middle School on Wednesday, November 9.  On designated nights from 4:00pm until 8:00pm, a portion of proceeds will directly benefit the participating organization.

Although the economy has forced people to be more cautious about their dining habits, according to the National Restaurant Associations 2011 statistics, “74 percent of adults who agree the going out to a restaurant with family and/or friends gives them an opportunity to socialize and is a better way for them to make use of their leisure time rather than cooking and cleaning up.”  Consequently, what better way to spend a leisurely evening than socializing with friends while raising money for a notable cause?

Galway Hooker owner, Chris Boukedes, says “it gives the Galway Hooker team great satisfaction knowing that we can give back on these fundraising evenings, whether it be for a local charity or a child’s school, it’s nice to be part of a business that allows this!”
