Caring Community Foundation Celebrates Record Fundraising via Recent Party

Nov. 4, 2011 - PRLog -- RALEIGH, N.C. – The Caring Community Foundation (CCF), a local non-profit organization dedicated to helping Triangle-area cancer patients in need of financial assistance, is proud to announce the success of the recent Pay-it-Forward Party fundraiser.  Held on Saturday, September 10 at the Renaissance Raleigh Hotel at North Hills, the charity hosted an evening of fundraising, food and fun, raising a record amount of over $150,000. This revenue will bring the Foundation closer to its goal of helping one family every day of the year.

The September party marked the eleventh year for this unique charity event. Founded eleven years ago by Cary resident Jill Wolford, family and friends, the Caring Community Foundation has now helped more than 1,000 cancer patients and has surpassed the one million dollar fundraising milestone. All funds received from individual donations go directly to cancer patients for necessities such as rent, utilities and medicine. Corporate Sponsors pay for the foundation’s administrative costs.

The Caring Community Foundation is an organization of volunteers who donate their time and talents to supporting the foundation’s mission. Through interacting with social workers at area cancer centers, the Caring Community Foundation acts quickly to alleviate financial stresses so patients can focus on treatment and recovery.
