By: Sherre L. DeMao Nov. 7, 2011 - PRLog -- Cultures come together in Charlotte, NC, to learn why Brazil is the 4th fastest growing economy in the developed world on November 14th, 2011, at the first of three programs being offered across the country.
No Borders Consulting Group, based in Denver, NC, has partnered with AmCham from Sao Paulo, Brazil to present “How To Do Business in Brazil” on November 14th at the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM. The program is offered to the business public for free, but space is limited to 150 attendees and pre-registration is required. AmCham approached No Borders to consider organizing the event as the kick-off city with other events in Houston, TX and Miami, FL. No Borders President & CEO, Reinaldo Panico Peres, immediately sought the involvement of numerous affiliations in which he has taken a leadership role, including: Charlotte Regional Partnership, Charlotte Chamber of Commerce, Charlotte International Cabinet, World Affairs Council of Charlotte, Lincoln Economic Development Association, and Brazilian American Chamber of Commerce. These organizations saw the opportunity and immediately signed on as supporters. Why Brazil? According to Peres, Brazil is the 7th largest world economy and continues to grow at a rate of seven percent (7%) as compared to the United States’ three percent (3%) growth. “Trade between Brazil and the United States has averaged $60 billion dollars a year in the last four years and continues to be a hot spot for entrepreneurship and business expansions,” The Charlotte event is the first of three events across the country. AmCham approached No Borders to partner in hosting the Charlotte kickoff event because of the company’s successful visit to Sao Paulo with a North Carolina delegation, which included North Carolina Secretary of Commerce and Charlotte Regional Partnership among other delegates. The purpose of these visits was to promote the State of North Carolina and the Charlotte Region. The delegation visits successfully resulted in two Brazilian companies that are finalizing site selections in the Charlotte Region. In addition to the No Borders and AmCham presentations, in depth presentations by Sao Paulo State Promotional Agency (the Trade Commerce Division of the State of Sao Paulo) and Machado Meyer a prominent law firm from Sao Paulo are on the agenda. A private luncheon of international dignitaries and city officials is being hosted by the Charlotte Regional Partnership and K&L Gates law firm at the City Club in Charlotte. Following the luncheon, Parker Poe law firm is providing a private reception for the Brazilian delegation. The seminar is free to the public but limited to 150 attendees who must register online by Friday, November 11 to gain entry.
