Mixtape Phenom "Cali Tha Artist" to drop new album "THE MASTERPIECE"

Nov. 10, 2011 - PRLog -- EUREKA, California (November 10, 2011)—Growing up in Los Angeles, CA, music was all
“Cali The Artist” knew. Being the son of a singer and and a
musician, Cali’s father had taught him how to play the guitar,
drums, and piano before other kids even knew what music was.
By the time Cali was 8 years old his cousin introduced him to
the world of Hip Hop, where artists like N.W.A. 2 Pac, Public
Enemy, Biggie, Nas, and Mac Dre were constantly on repeat in
his head set.
Before Cali could finish High School, his family decided to
move to NorCal’s Humbolt County where he linked up with a
producer and dropped his first mix tape entitled, “Global
Grindin”. His unique sound and modern beats sparked a buzz
that drove him to record 10 more mix tapes in a 3 years. Of course he could not have done this
without his fans, that had grown from a few hundred to a few hundred thousand! After the
success of the mix tapes Cali was approached by producer Tae Beast from Top Dawg
Entertainment, and recording his first serious Album titled “The Masterpiece”.
“The Masterpiece” will be released on iTunes November 11, 2011. “The tracks are uplifting and
filled with the best creativity I could pull out of me.” says Cali, “This is the best work I have

About Cali The Artist
Cali The Artist was born in Los Angeles, California where he first encountered his love for Hip
Hop. At the age of eight he witnessed many hardships, with family death and the incarceration of
his father. Cali discovered listening to music as a coping method when dealing with his younger
struggles. At the age of 10, he moved to Northern California with his mother and two siblings, to
escape the struggles and hardships of living in Los Angeles. Cali desires to catch the attention of
those who love Music as much as he does and wants millions to listen to his stories and style in a
