By: Donna Rodrigues Boy Scouts to Honor Distinguished Community Leaders WHAT: South Florida Council, Boy Scouts of America Distinguished Citizen Awards Dinner & Holiday Auction WHEN: Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at 6 p.m. WHERE: WHO: The South Florida Council, Boy Scouts of America is honoring three distinguished community leaders. Bob Moss, CEO of Moss & Associates and Paul DiMare, President of DiMare Brothers Inc. are receiving the Distinguished Citizen Award. Sheriff Al Lamberti, Broward Sheriff Office, will receive the William H. Spurgeon III Award for his work with the Exploring Program. Overview and Purpose: This year, Boy Scouts of America (BSA) celebrates its 101st Anniversary. The Distinguished Citizen Awards Dinner and Holiday Auction is a culminating annual event for the South Florida Council, BSA. The above mentioned distinguished community leaders that embody the principles of Scouting, will be recognized by BSA. In addition to honoring these fine individuals, prior to the commencement of this event, BSA will their guests the opportunity to do some early holiday shopping by bidding on items in their Holiday Silent Auction. Proceeds from this event will benefit South Florida Council, BSA’s over 45,000 youth and programs for them.
