Grinding machine used for quartz powder production line

Nov. 18, 2011 - PRLog -- In the quartz powder production line, quartz grinding mill is used as powder making machine for grinding quartz into powder.

Crushed quartzite is sometimes used in road construction, decoration and for railway ballast. High purity quartzite is used to produce ferrosilicon, industrial silica sand,glass, optical fiber, semi conductors and ceramics, silicon and silicon carbide. During the Stone Age quartzite was used as an alternative to flint.

The grinding machines that can produced quartz powder include Straight Centrifugal Grinding Mill, MXB coarse powder mill, MTW Series trapezium mills, Caiman HPC cone crusher. Straight Centrifugal Grinding Mill can grind the quartz, non-flammable and non-explosive mineral materials with the Mohs hardness lower that scale 9.5 .

The pulverizing quartzite in the ball mill or grinding mill, will be grinded into quartz powder about 0.2 mm with the grinder roll, grinding ring and steal balls(iron shots). The grinded quartz powder will be look like quartz slurry. Finally, the quartz slurry will be pumped to the flotation deck with the fine sulfide ore (~-0.5 mm) going to froth flotation cells for recovery of quartz. The recovery quartz will be packed and transported to costumers.

Quartz powder production line consists of jaw crusher, impact crusher, vibrating feeder, circular vibrating screen, and belt conveyor, and so on. Firstly, the raw materials are initially crushed by Jaw crusher; then the roughly grinded materials are transported into the impact crusher for further crushing; the fine crushed materials get into vibrating screen to be divided into three types: carpolite, stone, and block; then the bigger ones go back to impact crusher again.
