Finding the right answer to complex health care reimbursement and public policy issues requires exceptional people with a passion for solving complex problems, a dedicated record in their chosen discipline, and the intellectual agility to adapt to emerging challenges. Angela, Christine and Stephanie are exceptional and meet this high bar, said Marc Samuels, CEO of HillCo HEALTH. I have always had a solid reputation for being creative, candid, and relentless to ensure I do the right thing for the right reasons for our clients and for those we seek to influence. Our new team members, and existing principals, join me in this credo and have already utilized their talents and experience with all of our clients, across segments of the health care sector. Angela Lively joins HillCo HEALTH as a Principal. Angela has spent her career advising pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturers addressing issues affecting patient access to new, innovative products. She is a former senior consultant at Avalere Health and DK Pierce & Associates and additionally brings internal company experience from Amgen and Abbott. As an internal consultant within Amgen and Abbott and as an outside consultant, Angie provides strategic advice and recommendations on a range of interventions including evidence development, local and national payer strategy (Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance), coding recommendations and support, advocacy development, and health policy change when appropriate to address an assortment of coverage, coding, and payment access issues. She has focused on the intersection of policy and patient access throughout her career. Throughout her career she has focused in the areas of nephrology, oncology, primary care and internal medicine, and cardiology and has provided strategic and tactical recommendations for a broad range of products and services including self administered biologics, physician administered drugs and biologics, dialysis supplies, and inpatient and outpatient products with unique drug delivery systems. Christine Perez joins HillCo HEALTH as a Senior Analyst and provides clients with research, analytic, and project management support on topics from evidence-based medicine and healthcare quality improvement to issues related to Medicare policy development around personalized medicine and medical practice issues in e-health. Prior to HillCo HEALTH, Christine served as a Government Relations Coordinator for professional associations in SmithBucklin Corporation's Healthcare Business Unit. Christine's clients included the National Association Medical Staff Services, National Society of Genetic Counselors, National Association of Healthcare Access Management, and American Urogynecologic Society where in addition to other strategic consulting duties, Christine aided her association clients in communicating their public and reimbursement policy positions to federal agencies, congressional offices, and other healthcare organizations. Stephanie Sack joins HillCo HEALTH as the team’s Executive Assistant. A recent Pepperdine University graduate Stephanie will manage the day to day administrative priorities of the team as well as support HillCo HEALTH’s publication and research client functions. In addition, Dr. Doran Edwards has rejoined our team after a stint at Smith & Nephew as a Chief Medical Officer.
