Online Start-Up Celebrates First Birthday Milestone

Nov. 22, 2011 - PRLog -- Despite the tough economic climate currently affecting businesses UK-wide, an online start-up is today celebrating its first birthday milestone; having enjoyed a very successful first year of trading.

MyMemory.com, a website specialising in bespoke photographic products and online storage, launched to the UK public one year ago today. Since launching, the company has gone from strength to strength.

Founded 12 months ago, www.MyMemory.com was started by Rebecca Huggler and Karl Moss; who already have a number of successful websites to their name. Specialising in personalised photographic products, the site was started as a means of encouraging people around the UK to make the most of their treasured photographs. Users are able to upload photographs to the site for safe online storage, and can also create a wide range of bespoke photographic products that make their photographs ‘come alive’, such as photo books and personalised calendars.

In just 12 months of trading, MyMemory.com has fulfilled photo book orders to 66 countries worldwide; encouraging international sales by offering free delivery with all orders. The site now has over 3 million user photographs safely stored on-site.

MyMemory.com also recently launched an unlimited online backup service for consumers, giving computer users a simple and affordable means of backing up their computer files. Named MyMemory.com Backup, the service uses cloud technology to store and sync files across household computers; making them instantly accessible from anywhere in the world, whilst also automatically scanning hard-drives for new files to back-up.

The site has created a significant online presence in the 12 months since launching, and is regarded as a key player in Jersey’s business scene, where the headquarters are based. Last month, MyMemory.com sponsored the World’s First Beach Art Championships, held on Jersey’s beaches, which attracted worldwide media attention.

Conscious about the environmental impact of the business, MyMemory.com avoids using traditional chemical wet labs to produce their prints. Instead, new technologies are employed, minimising chemical usage and ensuring that impact on the environment is significantly reduced. Everything available on site is produced in- house in Jersey, with worldwide delivery being completely free of charge.

Rebecca Huggler, Co-Founder of MyMemory.com, commented on the first birthday milestone:
