New Jimmy Wales action figure to promote Wikipedia donations

Nov. 23, 2011 - PRLog -- Innovative custom doll maker ThatsMyFace announced it has created the Jimmy Wales action figure. Jimmy Wales is the co-founder of Wikipedia.

ThatsMyFace, based in Portland, announced it has started selling the Jimmy Wales action figure.

Officials with ThatsMyFace stated the doll was created to promote donations to the Wikimedia foundation which is currently seeking funds to continue maintaining the wildly popular Wikipedia website. Wikipedia is a non-profit that does not display ads but still needs to maintain 400 servers and employ 100 staff worldwide. To this end, the doll features hypnotic beady-eyes which give it its Mega Donation Drive superpowers.

The action figure alone costs $99 and is a fully-articulated 12-inch figure. Customers can upgrade to variety of optional outfits. Part of the proceeds of the sales of Jimmy's action figure will be donated to  the Wikimedia foundation.
