Dec. 6, 2011 - PRLog -- At the corner of Friars Road and Mission Center Road, the next generation of hip, urban new homes is coming out of the ground in San Diego’s Mission Valley. On Saturday, Dec. 10, Shea Homes San Diego will open two new neighborhoods at Origen at Civita.

Origen is the first for-sale community to become available at Civita, a 230-acre master planned community now being developed as a walk-everywhere village by Sudberry Properties.

Two new neighborhoods – Origen socialGarden and Origen skyLoft -- showcase three- and four- story townhomes that soar up to 50 feet above Mission Valley. Sleek vertical elements and multi-level, two-sided glass walls represent a new architectural aesthetic for popular San Diego homebuilder Shea Homes.

“Building three- and four-story townhomes in a mixed-use area like Mission Valley gave our design team a chance to create something extraordinary,” said Vanessa Linn, vice president of sales and marketing for Shea Homes San Diego. “And as the first new for-sale residential housing to be introduced at Civita, we wanted Origen to be a destination project; we think consumers will go out of their way to see it, and we believe it will attract buyers who value urban sophistication.”

Designed by Woodley Architectural Group, Origen socialGarden and skyLoft at Civita feature 10 floor plans showcasing expansive decks, open rail systems, open tread stairs, wrought iron railings, interior sliding glass doors, two-car garages and surfaces of stone and brick. Interiors feature kitchen islands, master and powder baths with vessel sinks, tankless water heaters and stainless steel appliances.

Origen socialGarden offers 127 courtyard style townhomes ranging from 1,390 to 2,110 square feet with two to three bedrooms, 2.5 to 3.5 baths and two-car garages. Origen socialGarden homes will be clustered around 12 beautifully landscaped courtyards and gardens. Five floor plans at socialGarden are anticipated to start in the low- to mid $400,000s.

Classically urban, Origen skyLoft offers 73 loft style townhomes sized from 1,452 to 1,760 square feet with two to three bedrooms, 2.5 to 3.5 baths and two-car garages. Five floor plans at skyLoft are anticipated to be priced from the mid- to high $400,000s.

Origen will also offer a private recreation area featuring a pool and spa.

Eight new model homes will open at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10, featuring the work of three leading interior design firms: Design Line Interiors, Creative Design Consultants and Ami Samuel Interiors.

From now until Dec. 10, a temporary Origen sales center is located at 7810 Civita Blvd, San Diego, CA 92108. The sales center is open daily except Wednesdays and Thursdays.
