Green Clean Institute for a Greener England

Setting standards for the cleaning industry is the next serious step in the janitorial world.  We are at what has been called, "The Green Equalization" where nearly every cleaning service claims to be Green ... whether they are or not.

The three-fold approach of the Green Clean Institute starts with education.  Education is the first critical step, and certification must be earned.  At least 30% of the full time workers of the janitorial firm must complete Technician training to earn GCI Firm certification.  

This is where a GCI Firm certification breaks the confusion of Green Equalization because all certifications are earned, and not simply by self-acclamation.  Annual reviews and educational upgrades make the GCI Firm certification a transparent and credible asset to the company.  

Thirdly, the AGJC (Audited Green Janitorial Certification) is the final phase of transparency and achievement.  GCI Firms will request a live audit by a trained auditor in order to qualify for the AGJC award.

In a day when Green is often casually implemented and imperfectly applied, the Green Clean Institute is a welcome addition to the janitorial industry.  

Presently, there is an open door for those with a vision and the ability to engage the resources of the Green Clean Institute.  The janitorial world is immense with millions of mostly untrained workers called upon to do a critical task in society.  The Green Clean Institute brings any cleaning service to a higher level of respect and opens doors to a growing market.
