SLAM-Shops.com Launches New M-Commerce Store & iPhone App

Feb. 1, 2012 - PRLog -- SLAM-Shops.com, a web site dedicated to SLAM sailing clothing and  Italian sportswear launched a new M-Commerce store & iPhone app. SLAMShops.mobi launched in late December 2011 with over 300 clothing and accessories from SLAM Sailing Gear.
Tom Carruthers, owner of SLAM-Shops.com decided to build a mobile web store first instead of launching a dedicated e-commerce solution. "With mobile growing so fast and the SLAM product line having such international appeal, we  decided a mobile solution was our best option. Plus if your sailing your can order products from your phone and have it delivered to your destination."
DSI Development was enlisted to build the mobile store. "We decided the easiest solution was to build the store with Movyloshop.us", explains Dan Smith. "With Movyloshop we were able to build the store in a day. Plus the iPhone app creator is built into the MovyloShop.us back end so all we had to do was create specific image files for the Apple store and publish the store. Ten days later we had an iPhone App to go along with the mobile store. Soon we will have the option to add an Android App as well."
The new SLAMShops.mobi mobile store is compatible on  over 5000 mobile phones, iPad & Android tablets plus offers a free iPhone at the iPhone App Store.
