Harriet Lembeck Advocates Revival of Blended Scotches

Jan. 19, 2012 - PRLog -- In the recent Beverage Dynamics November/December 2011 issue, Harriet Lembeck, a prominent wine and spirits educator as well as president of the Wine & Spirits Program, advocates the revival of blended scotch whiskies.

Beverage Dynamics is one of the largest national magazine devoted to off-premise alcohol retailers and beverage industry professionals. Harriet teaches classes on distilled spirits, and when she teaches about scotch she always throws in a blended scotch in her  blind tastings to show students the enormous amount of flavor and depth that blended scotch can have. In Harriet’s recent article she had this to say about Douglas XO “A premium Blended Scotch Whisky with notes of spice cake and apple. It is rich and very appealing." She goes on to describe Campbeltown Loch possessing flavors of "cloves, cinnamon, chocolate, and apricots."
