Basset Hounds Arrive in NY for Adoption Event

Tonawanda, NY, - On Saturday, January 21, 18 homeless basset hounds will be coming from Tennessee, Texas and Georgia looking for a better life! They will arrive between 6-7 pm at Camp Bow Wow Tonawanda.

On Sunday, January 22nd, ABC Basset Hound Rescue will be holding an adoption event at Camp Bow Wow Tonawanda, from 11-2pm. Twenty homeless basset hounds will be at the adoption fair to find their forever families. Many of the dogs available for adoption have come here from rescues in Texas, Tennessee, and Georgia. Anyone interested in adopting a basset can go to www.nybasset.org for more information.

All bassets will be spayed/neutered, up-to-date on shots, and heartworm tested. They were from a foster home and will be able to know their temperament and their likes and dislikes. The foster families work on house training in case they need a "refresher".

ABC BHR is a non-profit, 501c3 organization. They are funded solely through donations and fundraisers and they are all volunteers so no monies are used for salaries. They adopt out approx 65-80 bassets per year.
