Jan. 20, 2012 - PRLog -- BUFFALO, N.Y., January 18, 2012 – Once again this year, CASH (Creating Assets, Savings and Hope), an initiative of the United Way of Buffalo & Erie County, will hold CASH IN Saturday – a one-day event where people can get their taxes done and take advantage of a range of other services including credit counseling, benefits screening, banking, and more.

Those who make less than $50,000 per year are eligible to have their Federal and State income taxes prepared and filed for free.  Taxes are prepared by trained volunteers through the local Free Tax Preparation Network.  The Network is administered by the Buffalo Federation of Neighborhood Centers (BFNC), a United Way Program Partner, and supported by Creating Assets, Savings and Hope (CASH), a United Way initiative.

In addition to tax preparation, a wealth of other services will be available from local health and human service agencies, banks, educational institutions, and other organizations.
