Recycled Manure Liquid Fertilizer Selected for Federal Procurement Preference

Jan. 24, 2012 - PRLog -- Dairy Waste Management, LLC is pleased to announce the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) BioPreferred program has added Cow Wow Liquid Fertilizer to its online product catalog.  BioPreferred is a Federal program that seeks to increase the purchase and use of biobased goods — products made from biological or renewable materials.

Cow Wow is liquid dairy cow manure with no manure odor.  It is pure manure concentrate, not a compost tea, which replenishes organic matter in the soil and naturally provides all nutrients required for healthy turf and plants.  Cow Wow is totally safe with no pathogens, no weed seeds, and no fear of burning, even when applied during the heat of the summer.  Simply dilute and use as a foliar spray or soil soak.

Various Bills and Executive Orders require all Federal agencies to give procurement preference to BioPreferred designated items, helping biobased manufacturers gain a portion of the estimated $500 billion Federal agencies annually spend on products and services.   Most recently, Obama’s Administration requires Federal agencies to purchase various “green” items (including BioPreferred products) in 95 percent of all applicable contracts.
