By: Trod Nossel Artists Gabi recently spent time at Trod Nossel Studios (http://www.trodnossel.com) Besides the single, the production team decided to do a second song to showcase her vocal. "Of all the 800+ titles we have in our publishing catalog, she went right for the 60s stuff," says Cavalier. Gabi chose a song called, "I Had A Girl," (recorded to suit her as "I Had A Boy"), that was written in 1967 by songwriter, Ray Zeiner, and recorded by The Wildweeds while under the auspices of oral-surgeon- In just a few weeks the Trod Nossel Production team worked diligently with writers, engineers, producers and artists to complete the single by the American Idol air date. "Something More" was written by Trod Nossel Artist, Beau Badrick, and Gabi Carrubba. Badrick played all instruments, including background vocals along with Carrubba, with the exception of drums by Manny Patricio. It was engineered by Justin Watson and Ian Mereness, and produced by production team, Beau Badrick, Darlene Cavalier and Tommy Cavalier. Darlene Cavalier is Executive Producer.
