Billy Joel Tribute Front Man, Michael DelGuidice, Officially Joins The Piano Man's Band On Tour

Dec. 21, 2013 - PRLog -- For anyone who has gotten a chance to see Michael DelGuidice (http://www.michaeldelguidice.com) and his band, Big Shot (http://www.bigshottributeband.com), play either in the US locally or internationally, there is no denying that the talent is exceptional; Billy Joel (http://www.billyjoel.com) apparently thinks so too.  This past fall, Michael was pulled aside privately by Billy, himself, and asked to join both his European and US tour while filling in "as Billy" at a Billy Joel rehearsal after being recommended by Tommy Byrnes.  Bandmembers such as Tommy Byrnes were already touring with Billy Joel AND Big Shot regularly, alongside Michael, prior to that.

Miracle Concerts', Tom Cavalier, the agent who has booked Michael and several variations of Big Shot for the last 15 or so years after finding him in a small New Haven CT club circa 1996, recognized Michael's talent from day one. This development certainly debunks the stigma of tribute bands some people might have had, and as a testament to Cavalier, his gut instinct was right.  It doesn't get much bigger than Billy Joel - a rare instance - you're more likely to hit the lottery.

This is big news, especially since both Billy and Michael are native Long Islanders, for any tribute band member to actually be asked to play alongside their idol; a dream come true.
