Jan. 24, 2012 - PRLog -- New York, New York -- In support of our children and Healing in the Hurting Places.org (http://www.healinginthehurtingplaces.org/) K2 Global Communications Llc is issuing  a public service announcement, reaching out on behalf of Healing in the Hurting Places.org to the victims of sexual abuse to let you know that you are not alone, there is healing even if you do not believe it or feel it, its waiting for you, Healing in the Hurting Places.org is waiting for you.

“There is an evil so sinister, a threat to your children that is more real than any other threat of terrorism or war found in today’s headlines…Sexual Abuse.  Sexual Abuse is a war raging against the Bodies, Minds and Very Souls of Children and Your Children are not immune.

Every war finds its heroic, stoic warrior(s), those that rise above personal tragedy for the sake of others in defense of and aid in The Healing.  This war, sexual abuse of children, has its warrior her name is Karen Riley and her ministry of hope and healing: Healing in the Hurting Places.

We are very proud of Karen for making her courageous stand to bring to light and combat one of the greatest evils of our time.  We ask that you take the time to support Healing in the Hurting Places because Karen reaches our hurting friends, families and communities in a way not possible by those who never went to through the war of sexual abuse as an innocent child.

There is a crime that is almost too devastating to speak of. For years, the subject was taboo. Victims felt powerless, ashamed, alone. The crime: sexual abuse.

That no longer has to be the case. Victims can heal from the scars of the past and become survivors. I am one of them. And I know plenty of others who are now providing hope to others.

I started this site because while there are many sites out there that address sexual abuse, I had to hop from site to site to find out all of the information that I needed. And sometimes I still didn’t find it all. No one site can be everything to everybody. But my hope is that through this site, your healing journey can begin.

This site will continue to grow and change. New pages will be added and information will be updated. I hope that you will bookmark this site and turn to it as a resource.

The good news is that you can heal from this traumatic event. You are not alone. There is hope. Please take time to explore this site, avail yourself of the resources, reach out to others who understand…at your own pace.

I have written Healing in the Hurting Places to let both the victims and those who care about them know that there is hope…and healing…after sexual abuse.

Karen F. Riley has been writing since she was eight years old. She was nationally published at the age of eleven. Since then, Karen has written for newspapers and magazines. She has authored two weekly newspaper columns and three books:

Karen has been married to Bill for 30 years and they are the proud parents of three children: Lisa, Laura and Christopher. They reside in the rural town of New Egypt, New Jersey.

After 20 years in the corporate world, in seven different fields and having survived four layoffs, she started her own business. KFR Communications, LLC – a custom graphic and website design company she owns with her business partner, Andrew Gioulis – is now in its seventh year of operations.

For most of her life, Karen measured her success by what she achieved in her own strength. Then on July 24, 2005, that world and belief system was rocked when she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior.

Augustine said, “You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our hearts are restless until they rest in you.”

Karen began to understand why God blessed her with the gift of writing and speaking and how she could glorify Him with it. She began writing as a means to deal with the pain of childhood sexual abuse. Today, she heads up a ministry called “Healing in the Hurting Places” to offer hope to those suffering in the same way. This book is part of that journey.
