D.E.C.S. NYC is a small online accessories business owned and operated by three sisters Dominique, Emoni, and Courteney. These inspiring sisters wanted to venture out into the world and become young African American Entrepreneurs. With a mother who has a love for fashion and accessories it was only right that her three daughters who inherited their mother chic style take their dream to the next level. D.E.C.S. was created during their mother’s battle with Pharyngeal Cancer. There were so many unanswered questions that put the sisters in fear of losing their mother. This life changing situation birth D.E.C.S. which gave the three sisters an outlet to distract them as they watched their mother undergo Radiation and Chemotherapy treatments. Courteney Williams the oldest sister of the three states “Fashion is the essence of every woman and accessories enhance who we are”. D.E.C.S. online boutique showcases unique fashion jewelry that is chic, stylish, trendy, and very affordable. We carry the most current accessories in fashion that has been seen on some of the most popular women on shows such as Keeping up with the Kardashians, Basketball Wives, Baseball Wives, and Love & Hip Hop Season 2. It is our mission to keep our loyal customers up to date every season with top styles and trends at affordable prices. Accessories are used to complete an outfit and D.E.C.S has what every woman needs to set her apart from the crowd. At D.E.C.S. we believe in quality vs. quantity and as such we seek out the "correct" affordable trendy fashion jewelry. D.E.C.S. is focused on enhancing the accessory collections of all women. The ladies have a strong team and business manager Wynter of D.E.C.S. works side by side with them to make sure the women don’t lose sight of the D.E.C.S. vision. Dominique stated “This has been an incredible opportunity to build our networking skills”. Emoni wants people to know “Behind the glitz and glam we've discovered that the fashion business is not easy, it requires hard work and dedication and you must have knowledge of the business side of the industry”. Their mom is currently in remission and she is ecstatic to see her daughter’s company have such great feedback from customers and fashion bloggers. The D.E.C.S. sisters are currently working on their non-profit organization to assist in Pharyngeal Cancer research. D.E.C.S will be hosting their first fashion show in April 2012, hosted by Kim Kannons of Black Rose Boutique featuring 12 upcoming designers. The purpose for their fashion show is to spread love to Brooklyn owned businesses and let business owners know it’s about "realizing how important small businesses and entrepreneurship are to our local quality of life. A portion of ticket sales will go towards their non-profit organization for Pharyngeal Cancer in honor of their mother.
